Way out east (part one)

We're back after a fun packed week in Norfolk, Caister on Sea to be exact. The drive down was quite horrendous, the A47 is always full of tractors and HGV's, sam quickly got bored of playing Eddy Stowbart (I scored two!). Took us 4 hours to get there, could have been in Devon in the same time, but it was worth it. The broads are wonderful. Caister is a strange old fashioned place, stuck forever around 1979 it seemed, very laid back and perhaps abit too much like my home town...
Spent the first couple of days swimming in the pool and on the beach. Winterton has a gorgeous sandy beach, sam's first experience of sand and sea. He loved it!
The cottage was in the middle of no where, a converted farmhouse down a dusty track. Perfect. Nightime was very dark and perfect for night walking. I went up the track on the first night and got hissed at by something very angry in the pitch dark. I also walked so far I nearly got completely lost (my sense of direction is not good...) Thank goodness for Jupiter. Found my way home eventually slightly bothered for want of a better phrase. Still went back the next night though, out of curiosity.
I also sleep walked that night in the cottage, wandering around the bedroom lost (sleepwalking is one of my little foibles-a very disconcerting experience that occurs every now and then, usually after combination of disentorientation and alcohol). Was abruptly awoken, as usual by mrs somers, I, as usual, was feeling around her feet at the end of the bed, utterly lost....

Ha ha - I forgot about your lousy sense of direction!
