My mate Rick had a heart attack last week. Got helicoptered from Malton into Hull Hospital. Visited him today, you wouldn't think he had had a thing wrong, so positive and looking like he always looks. Very philosophical about it though, being resussed twice and pumped full of morphine. Some people are so very brave and humble, made me proud to be one of his friends, an absolute star. To top it off, he got filmed by "helicopter heroes-gonna be on the tellybox" how cool is that!

Scary. I wish him a full recovery. When things like this happen to people you know, you start to take stock of your own life and wonder when you’ll be next. So many of my peers have been afflicted by various cancers, it makes me feel that my own illness is only a matter of time.
