Knights of Cydonia (ok maybe Sidmouth)

Today we had an event called Knights and Kings. All sorts of Medieval shenanigans were going on. Story telling, dancing, weaponry and fighting demonstrations and... archery ! Yay. I managed to blag my way into having a play at shooting bambi. Even had a challenge by a lovely polish lady re-enacter who made me play her a tune on my mandolin after loosing miserably! All in all it was a very sucessfull event, only down point was my good friend Carla not being able to turn up to see me stretching my long bow. Maybe next time. I have a massive bowmans kiss on my elbow; a big bruise caused by the snap of the string as you loose off the arrow. Was worth it though.
