Underneath the arch...

My lawn is looking it's usual sad self for this time of the year. The garden is actually quite green, it's so small, the only way to keep it looking busy all year long was to plant lots of evergreen shrubs. The dalek in the pic is actually a composter that is working its way out to a better life (its being moved as it became residence for a rat-who is no more...)

All apologies

...as Kurt Cobain sang, as I haven't updated my blog in ages. I've been so tired after work due to commuting by train, which involves alot of walking at both ends of the journey. Trying to drive across the river into Lincolnshire at eight a.m. is such a dreary mind numbing experience, sat queuing for an hour to get half a mile up the road is not fun. Teaching history would seem to have no future , presently. The council's ongoing restructure means I am being amalgamated (like a filling) into a new post called Cultural Service Assistant. Im so fucking tired of being "an assistant". Its substitute for the word dogsbody. Teacher Training or even Teaching Assistant (-DOH!) training is looking so tempting. My current employer places more value on the gateposts than on my contribution to the service. Anyhow, must stop moaning. Tonight we had an 'unplugged' session. A band practise with just acoustic instruments, no electricity, no amplifiers, no where to go if you make a mistake. I found it very differant from our usual loud get togethers, I had to think about what I was playing and listen to the others very closely. We might even do a few unplugged pub gigs once we're abit more polished! It's only three weeks until we play for a club on St Patricks day in Bury St Edmunds. Shit!
