Blue tack language

If you want an exhibition to go up perfectly (although that never ever really happens if you are a real artist) the only way to hang it is, hang it yourself. I have learnt this lesson so many times, yet have fallen foul of its rule yet again. The technician at the arts centre, a rather chip on the shoulder, aloof type bloke, says he has not been told he was hanging my work till today and has no time to do it. It can go up on Monday! Management have taken over the art in the bar project without allocating any time, blah, blah... Next week it will get hung and he'll stick my labels and extra boards on the wall with bluetack for me. He got abit shirty when I offered help as he's "hung many exhibitions in many galleries...grrrr" (and I haven't...?) Yes, Bluetack. I do not hang work with fucking bluetack. Need I say any more? Aaaaaarghhh.
