Out of time

Aaaargh. I so wanted to add a really positive entry as I've had such a fab day. Anyway.... Been teaching at Winterton School today and Wednesday and had a great time. We made ocarinas, tiles, did sprigging, stamping, rolling out, all sorts of stuff. The kids were so nice and responsive. Today's group were particularly good. At the end of today I sat in on the end of term assembly and watched awards giving. Now, the reason I'm having trouble being upbeat is the fact that I was wandering around my garden 30 minutes ago when out of the blue a pair of arms reached over the fence and wrenched my bean canes out. I raced up the garden and out the gate only to see three youths running off with bits of my garden (which will probably get thrown onto the railwayline). I've just rung the police to log it as a crime so that my council tax gets used for something other than cleaning out moats and tuning pianos... Had abit of an odd birthday yesterday. It was a really nice family day, but felt almost like a non event. Went to Rufford park and meandered which was great. I almost felt like I was passing the time waiting to be 40 ! Time has taken on a completely differant meaning and value just lately. It's all relative. Damn you Einstein.

W.S.H.

Had lots of weird dreams last night... Sleep deprivation makes you concentrate your rest into deep, deep, short periods of near deathly repose. I dream intensely during these moments. It's quite often that same dream about the railway and the bridge...

"..this town has no need for a sheriff..."

... to quote Bob Dylan's Tombstone Blues... Yesterday I had the dubious honour of attending an honoury buffet for the individuals who originally restored my place of work in the 1940's onwards. None of these said people now have any active role in my workplace. Some seldom ever did. Many are not even alive. Many of the present representation have no input whatsoever but would seem to want honouring none the less. Do you get my drift... The only benefit of last night was that I was on as staff, therefore I got paid for being there and for locking up after everyone had left. Oh-by the way, the staff never got a mention in the Civic thankyou list speech by the Mayor. Friends, volunteers, Nelson-fucking-Mandela, but not the ones who stay till the dark hours and secure the building... Anyway,... the crux of my night was being given an earful by a certain Secretary,..sorry, Honerable secretary,.. -when he took over the post last year he added the "Honerable", as you do when you've been a telephone engineer for 35 years, that qualifies you! ( I might be the "Honourable" Will Somers from now on! ) Ok , heres the money shot,.. what an absolute fucking arse. Where do these people crawl from to lecture us on education and heritage. How dare they look at us like they've stepped in something. I came home so incensed. We have no "friends". Just backstabbing bastards. Sue me if you dare.

Mrs Canadian Composer

I absolutely love that, that will be the name of my next band...
If only I could find the time to play. I don't want to wish away my life but at the same time miss having spare time to do stuff, before his royal highness arrived. But then, who could have more fun...
this is us doing " hells kitchen" -I am being Marco Pierre, I don't usually wear a head scarf! We were sampling the delights of Heinz 57 Ravioli.
