A gilded beak

Ok. So it's all over nearly for another year, hooray! I find christmas a very strange, distressing time of the year, ( probably as mentioned in every blog entry since I started blog entering). Anyhow, as is traditional for me at christmas I got ill. Me and Sam both got really bad coughs and rattly chests on the eve. Was ok on christmas day although could not stop wheezing, until I decided to use my ventolin (yes I do have one) which sent me as high as a kite then gave me the headache from hell itself. I ended up retiring to my bed and leaving the relations with scampi and mrs somers. I can honestly say I haven't ever had such a bad headache (without having had a very good night before!) Humbug. The food was really good, bestest ever christmas din, cooked by mrs somers. We borrowed a table to go in the front room next to the tree, it was really nice. And of course, it was all for the enjoyment of one particular person, who enjoyed the attention...

Twang

Had a great event day today until teatime... Lord Burgh's Retinue conducted their annual Christmas take over of the Hall, circa 1460 and as usual were brilliant and thoroughly professional. The Burg's played their music, Paul stewarded and food was cooked in the medieval kitchen. I went upstairs at 4 and had a little play on the piano, turned whilst sat on the stool and felt my back snap, hence spending the rest of the day in absolute agony, having agravated the injury that put me out of action for a month last time I pulled it. Shit! I sit here with a hot water bottle and a large glass of wine...Managed to drive home by the skin of my teeth.

Honey lately, i've been waited down...

Lately, life is such a rollercoaster.
Hampton Court the other weekend, then the big craft fair...Will this rollercoaster ever end? I really wanted to account my every movement in our great capital, but just missed the event as I was so busy.
