Tranquility base, this is houston

Today was the spectacle that is Lark in the Park. Me and Frances dressed up as usual, Frances was Alice, I was a mad hatter, although I think I looked more like Fagin!
The weather held out, the sun shone down like marmelade and my donkey was a sure fire hit with lots of pins on her bottom. Or at least blue stickers, each with a number on.
There was an air of "tranquility" which really moved me late afternoon!!!....
(She was blonde.) We sold stacks of stuff and handed out loads of free admission passes for the hall. A total result of a day really. Here is my version of harry potter...

Our time and our place dear

So here it is, exactly a year since I waited for us. The clocks are counting down. So here are us, there you are, there I am, And here we are. I waited all day, I'm still waiting. Does it make any sense. Does it stop hurting. Looking through the trees...I'm still looking. Like comets...

Permanent September

Mrs somers is still being furiously sick with my offspring. I seem to be pure toxin! Nearly time for the annual Lark in the Park, I can't believe it's a year ago since all last years problems and solutions... I will be dressed as the mad hatter this year accompanied by the ever glamorous Frances as Alice. It will be a laugh! I have two days off as it's summer at the centre (but not anywhere else in England!) what a joy to have time to get on with doing not much at all. Frogs and hedgehogs have been visiting me at the bottom of the garden by my shed... this is a blurry phone foto of cedric...

It's quite strange really, there has been no summer. Last year we were having a heatwave, this year...nothing. It's like permanent September. Permanent September...

Elenor, if you can access this, sorry I've not been in touch, call in at the Hall if you're in the area or text me on my mobile, hope to see you at some point...

My little donkey

Finished my donkey today, ready to have his tail pinned on, on sunday. A local chap was passing the workshop at Richie Park, with a little girl, who named it Evie! -Evie the donkey! I'm very proud of her.

Come on now... you knew you were lost!

Last day at the centre today before summer hols. I spent the day clearing out a cupboard with two of the lads. Lots of pirate costumes and jewellery!
I've finally got a night to scamp my favourite Co-op fair trade sauvignon without having to get up in the morning! Will probably wake up at some ungodly hour anyway and wonder where I should be. I suppose I should keep it up in readiness for junior...
Its July 21st- the day Neil Armstrong walked on the moon, how cool! I almost don't want to update as how can I surpass my last entry? At least it's set in stone now. My head is still swimming. Here's a somewhat relevant picture from the recent innocent past of moi...

Brighter than a thousand suns

The left hand side is the head, with a little hand sticking up. I swear I saw my own long potters fingers. What an amazing feeling, looking at someone so small and alive. We saw the heart beating... This is my child, 14 weeks old. Woooah!!

Anyway, I told all my workmates the afternoon after the scan (tuesday). They were so surprised and very pleased. This child will have about ten uncles and eighty aunties.... Starting of course with auntie Elaine (she really is an actual auntie), then auntie Anna, auntie Caroline, auntie Elenor, auntie Rose, auntie Victoria, Alison, Mags, Kath, 3 x Sue's, 5 x Linda's, 2 x Karen's, Fran, Alison, Splodge and many more, plus uncles David ( a real one), Liam, 2 x Richards and of course uncle John! Shit, I'm tired out- is that it ? Can we relax now!...

Nothing to see, nothing to say

Bit lost for words tonight but wanted to induldge anyway in the mysterious and remote friend that is blog world... Work was moderately fun, we did an archeology workshop (me and Victoria) with about 10 kids, digging in a sandpit and making tiles. Can't believe it's a whole year since this time last year... We were having a heatwave last year, we are now having yet another rainband bringing torrential downfalls. Perhaps it's the weather that is having a psychological effect, I'm just knackered all the time, I've lost the go in the go for it. There you go, I should send a message to myself to remember this point in life, look back at last year and look forward to the next chapter in my squalid existance! Points to remember are... Aug 17th.... (see Paulo) Well thats all I can recall and record, what more should I need to from the past? Never look back! Just keep on driving.

An end has a start

I've been given the task of bottoming out the ceramics workshop and re-fitting it at the day centre. How strange that life changes. Two weeks ago I was looking for a new job, now I'm top of the game again! As Anna says, I am a jammy bastard! Has anyone listened to the new album by Editors? I challenge you to listen to it by the third time and not be reduced to tears, or is it just me and my sensitive times?!! It is classic. Tuesday is a big day, it is a scan day...I will update imminently.

Dedicated followers of fashion

Arrrgh, Apologies for my lack of posting, reason being I've spent the last 5 days trying to figure out why blogger wouldn't let me blog. As I hope will be obvious, it's fixed. Something to do with script tags and post settings. I'm not much good at these things, its like the blind leading the blonde!
Anyhow, my latest big news. I've got my job back! The centre manager had me frog marched into her office. I thought it was for an official rubber stamp "fuck off". She actually said she would keep me on throughout summer, then seek more funding, to pay me more! I had to tell her what my qualifications are, how I'm employed and how long I've been employed. She's only the boss, how could I expect her to know all this?!! I just hope she's not a dedicated blog follower, I think I'm safe.
I'm currently working on a little sideline job, painting a donkey for the "Lark in the Park", an event in three weeks time. Its a pin the tail donkey, this is work in progress... per adua ad astra my little friends. Or should I say, "Eeee orrrrr"?
