Special days...

Oh dear, I realise I sound like such a negative, grouchy Victor Meldrew. I only moan about my job because I actually do quite care for what it stands for and enjoy it immensely, especially the people I work with. I don't really want to go back to being a pig farmer. Me and Sam have had a wonderful last few days, just pottering around the garden. Today we went up the woods, then went looking for trains, walked for ages right down through the subway and past the station. He loves trains! (wonder where that subliminal influence comes from...?). He's picking up so many words now and remembering all sorts. Our days off are very special.

AFK

absolutely fupping knackered. Rollercoaster the last few weeks. How do people cope with more than one child? Been checking out local schools, very complex set of criteria in order to give sam an easy ride through the education process. (not) another fucking kitchen museum being refurbished possibly, funding doesn't include a kitchen which suggests a lack of kitchen staff and a franchise. Job cuts. Even more work for a tired out workforce. absolute fiscal killers Our government sees fit to pick on public service in order to save the wasted billions of the last decade. Public service being the soft targets and the masses to save tiny amounts here and there, chipping bits off culture and education, rather than the top heavy structure that has been created. Therefore we are running on minimal staff with extra events fighting for survival. What kind of country are we to be with no museums or galleries. No culture? Bizarrely, Tony Blair has achieved his dream of bland nothing p.c. society via the opposition, whilst he fucks off to fuck up the middle east. W.S.H.
